Ring Brief by Body Tech

Body Tech Ring Brief

The Ring Brief by Body Tech was a bit of a surprise because I had never had C-ring pair of before. For those of you who are as clueless as I was, it’s a hidden fabric pocket in the front that has an elastic hole to put your junk into. This creates the lift and makes it appear as though you’re much more well endowed than reality. At first it was a little uncomfortable, but you get used to it fairly quickly. I do recommend that you are well-groomed because I could see it causing some chaffing for hairy guys. Once you have these on you’ll notice that two holes appear on the sides that might look as if the underwear is torn and falling apart. No to worry, its just the design and is part of the C-ring feature.Even though I’m a personal fan of Nylon/Lycra®, I think that the Cotton/Lycra® fabric used in this works as the garment does contours my butt well. However the band is a little tight but necessary in order to keep everything in place.

As I have somewhat of a broad frame, I think this pair of underwear are generally built for the skinny tall dude. If you have any hips or love-handles, definitely pass on these. You won’t like that visual in the mirror when you try these on.

Body Tech definitely makes better underwear than this, so I don’t judge them by one product alone.

Baskit Playas Rise Bikini Swimsuit

Baskit Playas Rise Swim Bikini
Baskit Playas Rise Bikini

Even though Baskit calls them a bikini, in my opinion they fit more like a brief because they have 3″ sides and offer almost full back coverage. As far as the product goes, they are extremely well-designed and unbelievably comfortable. To be honest, no one looks like the models in the pics, but because they sit low on the waist with wide leg holes, so they are ideal for shorter or stocky guys.

I have a couple these suits in the Silver/Green and Navy/White. They have a shimmer to them that the internet pictures doesn’t make obvious and the silver darkens to a metallic charcoal look when wet. Not to worry though, they don’t fade and go right back right their natual look when dry. The string is enclosed into a fabric waistline band with logo on back and doesn’t leave waist indentions when taking them off. The front pouch provides ampful amout of lift and support so I didn’t feel crammed. As I mentioned before, the back coverage is moderate so feel free to tan without burning your butt.
The major question that I’ve gotten in the past is when and where would you wear these. I think Baskit is going about these totally the wrong way by promoting them for their shock-value. Sure they’re eye-catching, but I think these are relatively conservative as far as briefs and certainly didn’t offend anyone at the beaches I’ve worn them before…..and I live in the Carolina’s. There are much more revealing swimwear out there, so feel free to put these on underneath shorts, follow common sense beach ettiquete rules, and grab a great tan.

Joe Snyder Bikini Underwear

Joe Snyder Bikini Underwear

Joe Snyder Bikini Underwear

Before I bought these, I was a little hesitant because I thought the pictures made the fabric look like thin, cheaply-made, spandex. WRONG! Joe Snyder’s material is a premium Lycra/Spandex that perfectly contours the body. The seams are interlaced stitched, so nothing runs or snags. I have bought many pairs of bikini underwear over time and these are about as well constructed as I’ve found.

The fit me perfectly, but I think you would need to have at least an average-to-athletic body frame to truly enjoy these. The back coverage is slightly moderate and exposes a tiny bit of lower buttocks. If you were a larger guy, these probably would create a constant wedgie feel (unless you’re looking for that). The 1″ sides make this ideal for short-to-normal height guys, but since they stretch well it’s a non-issue for taller guys but they would sit really low on your torso. The molded frontal pouch provides a little lift and accentuates my average crotch. I think a “well-endowed” guy may have an issue of tucking everything in because the pouch is closer to being flat-fronted than a sack.

My wife was “wowed” by these and thought they were a little on the risqué side. I think the freak factor was a little higher than normal since this bikini underwear is some of the first I purchased years ago.

Ergowear 3XD Briefs

Ergowear XD3 Briefs

Ergowear XD3 Brief

These could be the most durable underwear I have ever purchased. They are great to wear for work, play, and exercise. I have a few pairs of these in white, black, red argyle, and green argyle.

They fit me just right because I’m stocky too. Because I live in the south, it’s hot as hell during the summertime so I’m constantly sweating. The premium microfiber that Ergowear incorporates in their designs wickers moisture away from my crotch so I don’t get that constant swampy feeling. The leg holes are flexible so these will contour to just about any body type and the 1″ waistband is encompassed into the fabric, so that doesn’t chafe either or cause a muffin top appearance.

My wife loves them and thinks that they make my butt look great. She considers these tame compared to the other things I’ll wear underneath. These briefs last about a year before breaking down which is about you can ask from a pair of underwear I put on about once every couple of weeks.
