Zylas Briefs Rock

Want a damn good pair of underwear to wear under jeans? Look no further than Zylas men’s textured briefs. Zylas is another one of these innovative, Latin-based manufacturers (Columbian) that does a phenomenal job of designing body wear. Ironically, I had these briefs on and was out Christmas shopping with the wife. We stumbled into the Jockey store and my immediate thought was, “Grandpa’s underwear…..man, they’ve got a long way to go.”

The Textured Briefs have a “meshy” feel, so they stretch and contour perfectly around my butt and hips, but without the see-through component. I’m not big on prominent waistbands because they tend to leave indentions, but these weren’t digging at all. These briefs are low-waisted too, which is ideal for guys with short legs (myself included). I felt that the leg trim and front pouch fit me just fine, but I could see those areas as being a little tight on thick-thighed guys or the well-endowed. If this is your MO, I’d probably size up then.

As the holidays kick into high-gear now, last-minute shopping is typically at the top of the todo list. Please keep your local business’ in mind and support them as much as possible. Value that premium customer service and don’t let a few extra dollars be the difference in your patronage between them and the “Big Box” stores. Trust me, it’s worth it. Merry Christmas!

LASC St. Tropez Bikini on The Mayan Riviera

20121210-061818.jpg20121210-062136.jpg

Just got back from the luxurious Mayan Riviera and I cannot begin to explain how much fun the wife and I have had. It’s heaven on earth with scenery that would even make a Hawaiian jealous.
The water is crystal clear and the beaches are full of international flavor with the majority of the areas targeted to adults.

As much as I love (and appreciate) coming home to the US, I couldn’t help but notice our short-comings with our beaches. We are waaay too uptight with our attire. Whether they were topless super-models in thongs or old chubby men in bikinis, people wore whatever they wanted and it wasn’t a big deal. No one noticed and no one cared and everyone was having a blast.

Naturally, I brought an assortment of swimwear with me, such as the Super-Low Racer from Timoteo (see pic below). A good starter brief to acclimate my skin to body parts where the sun hasn’t shined in a while. I got a little bolder with swimwear over the week once we saw the norm, so I went bikini style with the St. Tropez from LASC.

But no matter how beautiful this place is, the Mexican people here are by far it’s greatest asset. They bend over backwards for you to make you feel at ease and the majority of locals we encountered speak decent English. Thank god, because “mi espanol es no bueno”. Under no circumstances should you believe the media hype of the violence and drug wars all over Mexico. That’s 100% bunk and contained to certain areas which is no different than big cities back home. So don’t let the TV influence your opinion of Mexico, it’s gorgeous, friendly, and open for business.

New Candyman Thin Briefs

October is my favorite month of the year for several reasons. First of all, its a sports fans paradise with football in full swing, baseball games actually have meaning, and basketball gets going. Weather-wise, the month typically means warm and sunny days, which are perfect for the beach (save hurricanes).

October means gatherings and climaxes with Halloween, which is arguably the most fun holiday on the calendar with the wildest parties and costumes. It’s like a license to wear whatever you want. Women love to take full advantage of the opportunity and come out in the skimpiest lingerie they can find, which I’m not opposed too either. For me, choosing a costume is no big deal but for my wife it’s an effort in futility and a pain staking process that will last for weeks.

Speaking of costumes, Candyman is well known for coming up with outrageous mens outfits that are sure to turn a few heads. They also just released some new daily underwear that are really comfortable and breathable. These stretchy polyester, nylon mens briefs have thin sides give a full range of motion. Great for under sportswear with plenty of room in the front and won’t crawl up your butt. Steveneven has them on sale too, check’em out.

Tulio’s Power Pouch Supplex Briefs

Even though Summer really doesn’t end most of the south until mid-October, I find myself wearing jeans now more often than shorts. That being the case, I can’t think of anything that is more comfortable and looks best on me under jeans than a stretchy low-rise brief. I found a good pair of these, Tulio’s Power Power Supplex Briefs at Int’l Jock. Don’t FReakout at the price, they’re worth it and Tulio’s last forever.

As an average-endowed guy with no butt, these definitely enhance my facade with or without clothing. For those who don’t know, Supplex is one of the most durable fabrics and the front pouch is accommodating with seams that push your junk up. In the rear, the middle seam contours perfectly and provides a little lift and the bubble butt look under jeans. Supplex has a wickering feature, so if it’s still hot where you are, no worries.

Blu Swim Brief by Olaf Benz

In many years of doing business with Germans, I noticed a few cultural common denominators. First, they possess an extremely dry sense of humor. Secondly, they are the worst salespeople on the planet. Lastly and most importantly, they don’t “half-ass” anything and design-build better than everyone else. So when I got a pair of Olaf Benz’s Blu Swim Briefs, I immediately knew that it was going to be well crafted….and I was right.

These are listed as men’s swim briefs, but they have more of a sexy bikini feel because of the high-cut with short sides. If you want a good tanning brief, active underwear, or are a big swimmer, these are perfect. They can take a beating and actually offer real UV protection. Nothings more painful than roasted nuts and I highly recommend exercising good grooming habits.

For the appearance value and according to the wife, they can make even the flattest butt look round and toned. However, Germans design for German body frames, which is long and lean. If you’re tall, you’ll love these. As for beach/pool etiquette, unless your grabbing 50 laps, I’d probably save these for the adult-oriented settings. The metallic additive in the fabric is eye-catching and the swimsuit is somewhat skimpy. Awesome product!

Since its past Labor Day, swimsuits like this are a steal at: Undergear, Nuwear, Skiviees, BodyAware, DealByEthan, Mensuas, Erogenos, Int’l Jock, Pacific Jock, and DeadGoodUndies to name a few

Intymen just continues role out a fantastic line product offering and this new swimsuit doesn’t disappoint. The Diver Swim Brief is the second pair I’ve received from them and certainly won’t be the last.

Designed to fit most styles and frames, this swimsuit is perfect for any public environment. There’s no drawstring, but the waistband is durable and has plenty of support without creating a muffin top. They offer plenty of posterior coverage, roomy front pouch, and a little shimmer for those who want a quick hint of attention. Great buy!

Water Polo Briefs by Timoteo

Want a swim brief that’s stylish and extremely comfortable, I highly recommend the Water Polo swim brief from Timoteo. After sampling several products from them over the years, they’re swimwear is as good as any designers and these are no exception.

As with everything I’ve encountered from Timoteo, it sits a tad low around the waist, so keep this in mind if you have a long torso. Unless you’re hung like a moose, the pouch is the perfect size. The rear cut is more like a bikini, but offers plenty of coverage making this swimsuit appropriate for any public setting.
