Who is the FReak?

Freak Underneath Blog - Underwear, Swimwear, and ActivewearIn my teen years (early 90’s), my parents decided to move from the booming little city of Charlotte to the boonies of North Carolina where our closest neighbors were over a mile away.   Rather than change high schools and start over socially, I chose to finish with my friends but inherited a 45-minute commute for the next 3 years.  To avoid begging for rides from my parents constantly (not to mention cramping my style), I would crash with friends on most Friday nights, especially during  sports seasons.

During the summers, I spent a lot of time working at lake marina on the docks helping boaters tender and pump gas.  Great job with lots of perks and typically involved late night boating and pool time.  The last summer before I could drive, my drawstring popped on the only pair of baggy shorts I had with me.  I knew that if I called my mom to bring me another pair, I would have to go home to boredom. My buddy , so naturally offered only one replacement swimsuit for the pool….a Speedo! (think “Meet the Parents”). As shy as I was, I took the challenge and wasn’t about to miss out on the pool. After getting over the initial shock value of wearing them, I found them quite comfortable and somewhat arousing. Another side effect that I felt was the boost in self-confidence and the attention that it attracted by girls. After that weekend, I immediately bought a pair and then several more and before I knew it, they became my underwear. Which led me to other skimpy forms of underwear.

In my adult years, I have become an aficionado of risque underwear and swimwear. I’m a regular guy who just happens to always be wearing something crazy on underneath. I am a completely heterosexual married father with friends and family of both persuasions.  Professionally, I am a financial analyst with an MBA by trade for a fortune 500 company, a successful entrepreneur with three start-ups to my credit.  I have literally hundreds of pairs of mens underwear, mens swimwear, and mens activewear items either I’ve purchased or been sent to me as samples in an effort to buy and distribute.

That’s the Freak….and apparently I’m not alone.

Excellent site! I enjoy reading your thoughts on the swimsuits and the underwear. The quality, feel and cut of some of these products blows me away. My underwear drawer is starting to get a little over stuffed. Keep up the good work. Thanks
